Collection: Rosacea
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that primarily affects the face, causing redness and visible blood vessels. People with rosacea may experience flushing, persistent redness, and small, red, pus-filled bumps that can resemble acne. The skin may feel sensitive; in some cases, individuals may also notice skin thickening, particularly on the nose, known as rhinophyma.
In addition to these symptoms, rosacea can cause a burning or stinging sensation and may be accompanied by dry, flaky skin. Triggers for rosacea flare-ups can vary but often include factors such as heat, spicy foods, alcohol, sun exposure, and stress. Managing rosacea typically involves:
- Skincare routines that include gentle cleansing and moisturizing.
- Avoiding known triggers.
- Sometimes, use topical or oral medications as recommended by a dermatologist.
